7 Word Story Competition
Do you know that a story has five components: characters, setting, plot, conflict, and resolution? Students were recently challenged to incorporate these 5 elements into a very short story of just seven words, or at least include an implication of each of the elements.
The 7 Word Story Competition is the sequel to the successful 6 Word Story competition held last year. We saw more middle school and primary students participating this year.
Thanks to Mr Janiszewski's encouragement, the largest number of entries came from his class of 6JNZ. They became the envy of all, when they clinched all three prizes in this competition! Our judges, Mr Prossor and Mrs Augusto, picked the following winners:
First prize - Nina Callahan "The scientists decided not to tell anyone."
Second Prize - Jared Manning "A jacket never bought. Winters never lived."
Third Prize - Mumukshu Patel "Even your flaws are pieces of art."
Congratulations!
