What you need to know

What are dystopian and sci-fi novels?

Dystopian and sci-fi novels can be any book which relates to another world - where everything isn’t perfect or a world where civilization has developed further than our minds can comprehend. The dystopian genre tends to be set in a dire state of society, usually the result of destruction, control or human nature. On the other hand, the sci-fi genre is often set in a society in an alternative time and space, with futuristic elements.

Reader Profile

Otherworldly Observers often have intense and mature imaginations, able to delve deep into a fictional world and revel in meaningful understanding of its systems and foundations. They are thrilled by the existential challenge of coming to understand worlds other than our own and revealing the crux of society. Taking truths in this world and stretching logic and possibilities to a barely palpable absurdity are strangely invigorating activities for these minds. Their resourcefulness and inventiveness may knock you off your seat, so only consult them for ideas if you are prepared for the extraordinary. This duality of being grounded in the otherworldly kind of way makes them marvelous problem-solvers.
